It helps to practice

I have been working from home the past 4 weeks and have been practicing Yoga every day, for at least 20-30 mins each. I can’t say how much different I feel. I feel stronger; I sleep very well (like a baby as my wife says!); I have started to get dreams again in my sleep; I am much, much, much calmer and happier. I don’t know what constant yoga practice does to the hormones, but I am able to stay less affected and stressed. After traveling for the past 18 months weekly, I know my practice had suffered a bit – I would practice yoga 2 or 3 days a week; of late it had started getting to 1 or 2 days a week. My stress levels were higher and my sleep quality was deteriorating. After seeing the difference during the last 4 weeks, I am convinced it is the yoga practice that has improved my quality of life. So much so, that I am determined to practice for at least 10 minutes a day even on a stressful day. Usually during a stressful day, we all want to just find time to sit down and do nothing; but during such times, taking the additional step and practicing yoga makes the difference – not only for the day but for the next.
