When you are growing, you will definitely feel that you should leave behind something (memories, legacy, whatever) to your children. I am almost done reading Randy Pauch’s ‘The Last Lecture’. I read that Diane Sawyer gave Randy a valuable piece of advice after the interview. You need to let your children know things that they normally don’t know about you – things like how you enjoyed seeing your son at a particular angle, etc.
One of Rama’s and my favorites about Vikas is his joy button. Whenever we press gently his chin just below the lips, he smiles almost involuntarily. He used to do this even as a baby, while half asleep. Whenever we want him to smile, we just press his joy button.
