Dan Brown got it wrong on

Yoga. Two instances in his book ‘Angels and Demons’. First, he alludes to Yoga being a Tibetan practice; it is actually an Indian practice. Second, Pranayama is ‘breathing through the eyes’ are explained by Vittoria. Pranayama is control of breath/breathing. After all the tremendous research that went into the book on Christianity, two simple Google look ups could have given more accurate information on Yoga. The book is fiction though, so one can get away with ‘nothing is intended to be accurate’. But the fact is fiction fuels imagination and hence many people will re-think the roots of Christianity due to the novel; they will also take away the notion that Yoga is a Tibetan practice – not true.
