When iPod was introduced, I believe (didn’t follow Apple then), critics made fun of the name. When iPad was announced, the late night talk shows didn’t leave it alone either. Now, we are seeing more glowing review of iPad than complaints, proving the point that a well working device is more important than a device that promises to do a lot of things but doesn’t do it well (think PC or the HP tablet). Many who eyed the iPad with suspicion have become fans after touching it. The fact that a beautiful device does a few essential things very well has caught on. Now, I can’t wait for the day when Apple’s market cap overtakes that of Microsoft.
