If you aren’t convinced how much editing a digital photo can make a difference, here is a shot of the moon I took a few days before – both before and after editing. I didn’t have to use an expensive software for the effect. You can download Google’s Picasa and all I have done is to increase the shadows as much as possible. What this did was to darken the area around the moon and you see a much acceptable picture. That day the sky wasn’t totally clear and my shot could have been clear. I took the photo from my Canon Rebel XS with my Meade ETX-60 Altazimuth GO TO Computer Refractor Telescope. I had to use a Meade Canon EOS T-Mount for capturing the image via the telescope.
