While visiting our friends at Irvine, CA, a few weeks back, we got a whiff of what a college campus would be like. At the left you see preparations for a lunch. At right, the tall trees with the mountains canopied by the cloud made another interesting photo. The sun was not at its brightest though it was after 11 AM. I added a circular polarizer to my 18-55mm kit lens. Both pictures have a lot of contrast in them to make them interesting.
Below are still life images that you can see in and around you. You don’t have to drive a lot to get a good picture. Rama picked out some home grown oranges from Hema’s orange tree. The color was bright and made a good contrast with the counter top. I used a wide open aperture to put the background out of focus. The many colors in the two drummers against a light background makes them stand out.
