To be a human being means to feel oneself inferior – Alfred Adler. This feeling of inferiority is what propels one to do more, do better and struggle. This feeling is the source of motivation in oneself. Add to such inferiority, causes like unfairness, nepotism, injustice and what comes up is a powerful zest in a human being to rise above all these and to prove oneself. It is no surprise that many successful people have gone through humiliation many times over. Such failure emanating from failure or being the subject of in some way or other with others being involved or not. Michael Jordan said he could succeed in throwing the ball into the basket so precisely only after failing at it over a thousand times. To be exact this is what he said ‘I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed’. Abraham Lincoln is a remarkable example of success after failure. If someone indicates, hints or pass judgement that you are not cut out for it, don’t take it. Let it be a source for accomplishing what you need to do.
