Every problem is a new frontier

That is how you want to look at it. Just imagine when Christopher Columbus ventured out onto the seas, he didn’t know what lay next and where. He just was prepared to face the challenge. When you set out to solve a problem, specifically a technical issue, put yourself in his shoes. Your Product team might not be helping; your customer support folks might have given up and there might be added pressure from the client. It is in this situation, you have to think of a new frontier. What could you do that is or isn’t tried before? And that bravery gets rewarded; not that you work for the reward but that sea of unknown itself should be satisfying that you were there to explore.
