Learnings this week

  • Life can be full of conflicts. Internal conflicts can be due to a misguiding mind. You have to learn to recognize sound judgement
  • Postponing judgement is a key skill one needs to develop. At the spur of the moment, all the facts won’t be evident. It might take a very long time to for all the facts to surface. And it can take a very long time for the mind to calm down and accept what happened was in fact – not a big deal, not as it interpreted, or something else. Time is the cure, as they say. In a different time, the same events can be seen in a very different light.
  • Erotomania  is a type of delusion in which the affected person believes that another person, usually a stranger, high-status or famous person, is in love with them. It is a psychosis of love. During an erotomanic episode, the patient believes that a secret admirer is declaring their affection to the patient, often by special glances, signals, telepathy, or messages through the media. (From wikipedia).
  • Psychosis refers to an abnormal condition of the mind described as involving a “loss of contact with reality”. People experiencing psychosis may exhibit some personality changes and thought disorder.  (From Wikipedia).
  • During any communication, try to be to the point. It is very easy to have someone lose attention to what you are saying. As easy as 1 sec20150719_075213 and your entire message is going to get dispersed or even totally lost.
  • During a presentation, especially to decision makers, don’t read out the text of the slides. Highlight key messages that need to be delivered.
